Ger Breslin of Ojee Jewellery will be launching her new jewellery collection called ‘Touchy Feely’ at the Ultimate Girls Day Out in the RDS this August. Her jewellery will be available at a discounted price exclusively for this special event.
Ger predominately uses silver in her jewellery as she loves the challenge of working with metals. “I like to break down the perception that metal is a rigid, stubborn, angular material and transform it to one of fluidity, smoothness and elegance”. The concept behind her new collection is one of 'touching' the 'feelings' that you are wearing. Whether it is Joy, Hope or Love each piece reflects a feeling. The Joy pieces are highly polished and smooth. The "Love" and "Hope" pieces are slightly textured with a high finish. According to Ger, “the collection is a reminder to us all to be aware of our feelings, of what we feel, who we feel it for and how we show them!”

The RiseCreatives Studio has been redesigned to make it easier to browse work for sale and to contact the artists and designer-makers.
Each member has their own page which showcases some of their work, a link to their web space, contact form and the option to link to their own online shop if they have one.
The Studio is a unique reference point for buyers to source art, design and craft work in one place.
If you would like to be included in the Studio you need to be on Plan B or C and have prices in your web space.

Nina Lyons, a freelance graphic designer, was commissioned to illustrate the new board game ‘Democracy’ for the Kerry based games company Geepy Games. The game which will be launched in Birmingham this September in time for the Christmas market allows players to win votes, defeat the dictator and change the world.
Nina was responsible for the design of the entire game. Nina says, “being a fan of Russian constructivist design and the De Still movement I was tempted to take the design of the game in that direction. However, it would not have done the game any justice and would have pigeon holed it to a specific era and even to specific dictators. Therefore, I experimented and developed my own design taking inspiration from different elements of the five continents to develop the continent cards and board. The civil unrest, social stability & climate change cards, which are very much the administration of the game, have a hard edge to them. I enjoyed the project immensely it really allowed me the freedom to experiment & be more expressive in my design”.
